CALA ROSSA
The name Cala rossa (Rossa meaning Red) comes from the terrible wars fought between the Romans and Phoenicians in ancient times. The water became tinged with blood hence the name Cala Rossa.
Today, the dominating colour at this beach which has come to symbolise Favagnana. is the turquoise of the limpid crystalline sea .
